d.voorheis designs is a woman-owned design studio based in raleigh, nc, dedicated to helping SERVICE-BASED brands flourish.
Local to the Triangle and the graduate of a liberal arts college, I wanted to focus all the diverse experiences I had during my years of school through extensive travel and pursuing most opportunities that came onto my path, into a company of my own, based out of my hometown, and centered around what I really love to do: celebrate connection with those around me.
When you’re a service provider, you really do SERVE the audience you work with; yet, so many service-based businesses I meet struggle to connect with their audience.
Most often, it’s not the quality of the service or the entrepreneur behind it, but the quality of the BRAND. When a brand doesn’t reflect the quality of service it offers, it is a tragedy - and a problem I am determined to fix.
With professional experience in just about every type of company (start-up to non-profit to corporate + beyond) I consider myself well-equipped to understand your business, and help create more than just a brand for you - NO MORE MEDIOCRE, BLEND-IN brands!
HOW IT STARTED
Creating my own company was an idea that lingered in my imagination for years, ever since my junior year of college when I lived abroad. But that idea really took hold during my freelancing years (and then COVID) when I realized how immense of a need there was for business owners to be able to communicate and connect in a world that felt so isolating for businesses as much as consumers.
I became pretty disenfranchised with traditional 9-5 roles before the world shut down, for the same reasons that soon became enforced during the pandemic: there is not. enough. connection.
Fast forwarding 5 years and it’s become pretty clear that connection is valued in a brand new way from pre-2020, BUT I see business owners still struggling with it all the time! I KNOW you have a special story to tell, and I want to make sure your AUDIENCE KNOWS it, too.

+ My pets, Calli (a pre-pandemic adoption) & Frank (A goofy, 2 year-old pit with the energy of a toddler who benches 100)
+ TV Shows // My interests cover the whole spectrum (Emily in Paris and Love is Blind, but also Mindhunter and Rings of Power)
+ Singing // I used to be a competitive singer/performer in school!
+ “Hiking” // Sometimes real hiking. Sometimes hammocking by a lake with a book magazine.
+ Travel // 15 countries + counting! Started with my semester abroad living in Spain. Focused more recently on exploring the good ol’ US of A.
